Beloved father of Vito Pellerito, John (Catherine) Pellerito, Eleanor (Frank) Meyer, Kathy (Ron) Marchant, Sal (Marilyn) Pellerito and Chris (Tom) Ampleman; dear grandpa of 16 and great-grandpa of 21; dear brother, uncle, neighbor and friend to many.
Sam was an US Army veteran and served in WWII. He was proud to be a part of the Honor Flight. Sam was best known for his love of life.
Services: Memorial service at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Sunday, 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to SSM Hospice or Alzheimer's Association. Visitation Sunday 4-6 p.m. Friends may sign the family?s on-line guestbook at Schrader.com.
I guess my uncle was the kind of person you thought would be around forever.
I want to thank him for always telling me I was beautiful,for all the stories about his life and for making me laugh. I will miss running in to you around the neighborhood.

Although I knew Sam only for a short time in the last few months at Parkside, he was a lovely man giving abundant joy to all--which was so contagious! His love of life and his friendly smile and sense of humor glowed as one of God's "lights of the world." We are blessed to have known Sam, and know that he is with God and at peace in the palm of God's hand.
