Not sure what to say?

I was searching my name on the Internet and it took me to UIC graduation page of June 19, 1968 and there was Allen Badner (Me)and Sam Remer. As I had also worked with Sam at Altshuler, Melvoin and Glasser CPA's I thought I would try to find him and say "Hello" as we were also friends. And that is what brought me to this page. Shocking news that he has passed! I remember meeting Phyllis, with my wife Cherne, and remember Sam kinda talking out of the side of his mouth and telling one liner...

I knew Sam for almost 30 years. I'm not sure which he enjoyed more...playing golf or telling a clever joke..or both..! He was a diligent businessman and trusted friend. God rest his soul and peace to his family.

I was so sorry to hear of Sam's passing. We had many good times together playing golf in Florida. He is in my thoughts and prayers. I shall miss his good humor and friendship. Please accept my sincere condolences.

So sorry to read of Sam's passing. Went to UIC with Sam
And played a lot of softball with him. I always enjoyed Sam in school and later on in HP. My sincere condolences to the entire family.

Sam and I worked together at Schwartz Hotel in Elkhart Lake Wisconsin, he was my accountant, business partner for a short time and a valued friend. I knew how much he loved his wife and family and it was a joy to know him and a treasure to have been able to call him my friend. Though we lost contact over the years, that was only because I moved abroad and was seldom in Chicago. He was always in my heart and thoughts. I share in your loss!

Jill and I wish to extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to the entire Remer family on the tragic loss of Sam. We hope you all find comfort in the support of your friends and family. Leo Bleiman
