Not sure what to say?

Sammy, Bridget, Susan and Mrs.Smith, I am sorry to hear of Sam's death. I have always been an admirer of Sam's for as long as I can recall. Roland would always tell our family of the stories that Sam shared while growing up. You couldn't find a nicer family in town. I enjoyed visiting Sam's home on occasion and would leave sore from laughing so much. It is comforting to know that Sam's wonderful stories and character will still be around for us to enjoy through Sammy, Susan and Bridget. ...

Sam, I'm sorry to hear (through Lora) about your dad passing away. I always remember where y'all sat at First Methodist in Louisville during our growing up years and what a "foundation" he was to our church. God Bless you and your family.

TO NADINE, BRIDGET, SAMMY, AND SUSAN

WHILE GROWING UP IN PITTSBORO, I SPENT MANY HOURS WITH AUNT PAULINE AND THEN SONNY BOY. I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HIS MUSIC, STORIES, AND JOYFUL OUTLOOK ON LIFE. I ESPECIALLY REMEMBER HIM TAKING THE TIME TO TEACH ME HOW TO DRIVE A CAR. WE LOVE YOU AND HAVE YOU IN OUR PRAYERS.

Dear Nadine, I am sorry to read of your husband's death. I did not know him but I believe I knew you at Blue Mountain. I was there and graduated in 1954. It would please me greatly to hear from you. Peggy Cox Bowles

Dear Mrs. Nadine, Bridget, Sammy and Susan,
You are in my thoughts and prayers.I haven't seen Mr. Sam in years, but I'll always remember how kind and tolerable he and Mrs.Nadine were of all of us kids back in our school years. Sincerely, Suzy McMillin

I was so sorry to hear about Mr. Sam. I remember him very fondly and always think of him when I hear "Sweet Betsy from Pike." My thoughts and prayers are with you.
