Not sure what to say?

Marion was the best friend a young person could have. I should know as I worked for Marion and Richard for over 20 years.

I worked for Marion and Richard at the Village BBQ, Appliance Parts, The Lions Den and Circle in the Square.

He was one of the most stand up peron's I have ever known. He loaned money and gave credit to those that were both young and old. Relying only on their word that they would repay his kindness.

He was also the hardest working man that I ever had...

I want to thank Marion for the many things that he did for us here BPAR. This was a man who worked with our youth and taught them many things in life as they grew into adults and he was a friend to all.

Marion you were a wonderful caring person to have known,a loving Son to your Mother (Ms.Jay) as I knew her by,and having the privilege to work with and for at the Ball Parks and enjoyed every minute of it and listing to your many stories. My prayer for the family members you leave behind to cherish your memories.

Marion Spataro was such a large part of all of our lives in North Shreveport. He taught us all so much through the many many years we've known him. He cared about us, he worried about us, he was there for us. He had so many "kids" over the years that were truly inspired, directed, encouraged, corrected and taken under his wings. You know, I sit here and think and remember he even taught me how to cut and peel a green onion properly. Isn't that funny? We love you and will miss you. Thank...

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Sam Marion Spataro our Brother in Arms. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Sam. And to Sam it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and...

My husband, Douglas Potter and our daughter, Jill and myself, Terry Potter will greatly miss "Mr. Marion." We have come to know him over the years from Tinsley Ball Park in Bossier City. I enjoyed hearing his wonderful stories. He was a gracious giving man from the heart. He cared about people and gave many young teens opportunities to experience working with the public. Many prayers go to all his family for their absence of a wonderful man.I know that he is looking down with enjoyment of the...

Please count us among those who loved you..and your mother. We sure had some great times together. Great times at LSU and even later in Shreveport. Sorry we missed seeing you these last years. Our sympathy to the family.
