Sam Tumminello Obituary
Lansing - Sam Gregory Tumminello was born November 20, 1932 in Lansing, MI to the late Frank and Beatrice Tumminello. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family January 2, 2019, at the age of 86. He was a graduate of Lansing Sexton High School, and a union carpenter for 40 years. He retired from Michigan State University in 1995. He was preceded in death by his wife Marti. Surviving to cherish his memory are his son, Todd; daughters Tara (Jim) McFadden and Nicole (Michael) Davis; five grandchildren, Austin (Ngoc), Mario (Marisa), Molly, Amber and Autumn; three great grandchildren, Cameron, Lexus, and Gabriela; brothers; Biogio (Lavaun), and Anthony Tumminello.
A visitation will be held starting at 11:30 a.m., and short funeral service at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing.
For those desiring, contributions may be made to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan 1210 W Saginaw St. Lansing, MI 48915

Having worked with Sam at MSU for many years as a carpenter myself I have only the best memories of those times. I still smile and laugh about the things that happened over the years with a coworker and friend. The A & I Crew was a family more than just a group of trades people that worked together.
Sam T will never be forgotten but sadly missed, but those memories will live on and will bring a smile to me.

Our Beloved Cousin will be greatly missed. Sam was a one of a kind, there will never be another like him. It has been a great honor to have had him in our lives. He will never be forgotten.
