Send FlowersCOLLINS, Samantha Long, 30, of Powhatan, went to be the Angel she always said she was, on August 1, 2013. She is survived by her husband, Shawn "Busshead" Collins; her parents, Mark and Donna Long, of Henrico; maternal grandmother, Kathrine Fisher of Massachusetts; aunts and uncles, Melissa Fisher, Nina and Kenny King, Robbie Long; in-laws, Louis "Shorty" and Donna Collins, of Chesterfield; brother-in-law, Kenny Collins; nephews, Chase Michael and Dylan Lee Collins; and many devoted friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rte. 60), Powhatan. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to ASPCA or the charity of your choice. A celebration of Samantha's life service to be announced later. I did not know Sam well; however, she always greeted me with a warm smile when I did see her. There is no way I can understand your pain. Shawn, I was so shock to hear the news about Sam! I still can not believe that she was taken from you at such an early age. She will look over and watch out for you my friend. I will miss her so much. Mark and Donna, I don't know what to say with what the two of you are going through as your children are not suppose to go before you.
