Samie was a hero to so many people. She loved big and was an inspiration. She poured her heart and soul into coaching and made sure she made each girl feel special. She fought for the underdog player to have a chance. She was so proud of both her kids and all they’ve already accomplished. Go do big things guys and make her even more proud. She will be so very missed.

Samie Jo was such an inspiration. The amount of strength she had and her unwavering faith is something that will stay with me forever.
One day I was visiting with back in February. She said something about God sending me to her, but I think she actually had it backwards. He sent her to me to show me how to keep my faith.

Samie Jo has always been an encouragement to me. She was such a joy to have in class, to watch her become a math teacher, and to know what a persistent person she was. I will always think of her as being a life long learner. My students have always been the best, and Samie was one of the best of my best!
