I am very sad to hear of the passing of a great hero. Sammy was my uncle by marriage. I have very fond memories of his stories from the past. He will always be missed and remembered.

Sammy, his first wife, Frances Sawyer, and I grew up together........ and my thoughts and love go out to ALL of his family...... Their son is a valued member of my Genealogy Group.....
