I was a classmate of Sam's at Central High School. Various members of the class get together for dinner from time to time and Sam joined us for the first time last February (I think it was February) at Carlucci's. I was glad to see him after all these years (I last saw him in about 1979 when my wife and I had a few drinks with him downtown one evening).
