Liz,I'm so sorry to hear of Sam's passing. Sam absolutely was one of the smartest hospitality people I ever had the opportunity to work with. There's no way to describe what I personally learned from Sam. What I learned from him allowed me to move on from the food and beverage area to operation of my own property in Raleigh, NC. There were times when I was at the Sheraton with him we'd head out for a run together. I pray that God will give you the strength during these most difficult...

I was truly saddened to hear of Sam's passing. I worked with him at IMIC Hotels and he taught me a lot about the hotel industry and its lingo but he also taught me through his own example of how to be compassionate to others at all times. It is a lesson I have carried into my own life all these decades and I will forever fondly and respectfully speak his name.
