Samuel George Akis, Jr., age 52, of Camden, AR died at Ouachita County Medical Center on Thursday, April 10, 2008.
He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn D. Akis; his children, Veronica Davis (Tyrone) of Magnolia, Kemuel Akis (Christy) of Camden, and Marquise Akis (Pavin) of El Dorado; his grandchildren, Keyonté, Jayden, and Kortney Akis. He is also survived by his mother, Rosie Lee Spate; his siblings, John Drew, Lillie Towns, Linda Spencer, Joseph Akis, Debbie Alexander, Verlin Butler, Clarence Spate, Diane Spate, and Henry Spate; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Camden.
