Samuel James Archibald

Sam was one of my journalism teachers at the University of Colorado. Despite all his qualifications and service to his country, he took the time to help me--a lowly student-- get my first newspaper articles published. He will always be the most memorable teacher I ever had and I think of him even now, 35 years after I graduated, Thank you, Sam.

Dear Jill and family, My deepest sympathies on the passing of your father. In reading his obituary, I can see what a positive impact he had on the United States, particularly in protecting our basic liberties. He truly was a vital member of the "Greatest Generation."
