Not sure what to say?

I thought Sam and Susan, and the rest of the choice were just great people. I also played in Apple Annies during their breaks and on night when they didn't play along with Tommy Garrett. Sam always was very encouraging and always had a kind word. I know he will be sorely missed by all. Great people do that.

For many years we enjoyed listening to Sam at Disney's Trails End restaurant. Pic around 1985.

In the mid to late 80's, I vacationed with my family at Disney and we always stayed at Fort Wilderness. Sam was a favorite of ours and we always looked forward to his music and watching him perform. I don't know what made me suddenly think of him today, but I am saddened to find out about him passing upon Googling him today. He will remain in all the special memories I have of Fort Wilderness and Disney vacations.

The Korean War Veterans Association Department of Florida and Chapter 173 Casselberry send our condolences on the passing of our Brother In Arms Samuel Thompson Barnes, III (US Air Force) He served his country well and honorably. May he Rest In Peace,
