Read MoreI thought Sam and Susan, and the rest of the choice were just great people. I also played in Apple Annies during their breaks and on night when they didn't play along with Tommy Garrett. Sam always was very encouraging and always had a kind word. I know he will be sorely missed by all. Great people do that.

In the mid to late 80's, I vacationed with my family at Disney and we always stayed at Fort Wilderness. Sam was a favorite of ours and we always looked forward to his music and watching him perform. I don't know what made me suddenly think of him today, but I am saddened to find out about him passing upon Googling him today. He will remain in all the special memories I have of Fort Wilderness and Disney vacations.
