I worked with Sam for many years at the Census Bureau, and I have fond memories of those days. Sam was someone special to all of us there. I have wondered for some time why he was no longer in touch by email, and it is devastating now to learn the reason. It is hard to believe that he is gone. I'm sure all your family memories will endure forever.
