Beatty family- It has been an honor and privilege to have known Sam. The ultimate raconteur and gentleman, from a generation we will not see the likes of again. "That is the hand that shook the hand of..."

Dear Beatty family,
I know you don't remember me, but my parents, Baker and Jennie Flowers, lived up the street from your family in Druid Hills. I was sad to learn of Judge Beatty's passing, and I will pray for consolation for your family.

I had the privilege of being one of Judge Beatty's students at UA in the spring of 1975. My experience was that he was a fascinating lecturer and a very fair man. Sincerest sympathies to his family and friends.

I will miss Judge Beatty. He was an amazing man who always seemed larger than life. My heartfelt condolences to the Beatty family.

Sam Beatty was one of the great one-of-a-kinds, and he was certainly very special to me and my family. We are deeply saddened at the news of his passing.
