Sammy played with THE GLEN EAGLES GOLF CLUB EVERY SATURDAY AT LOS AMIGOS GOLF CLUB. HE WAS ALWAYS CHEERFUL AND ALWAYS HAD HE HAND OUT TO GREET YOU WHEN HE SAW YOU. HE WILL BE MISSED BOTH AT LOS AMIGOS AND THE AMERICAN LEGION

I first met Sammy Best years ago and I saw him many times later wherever Scotsmen gathered. The last time I saw him was at a medical facility. In spite of any health problems he had he kept in great spirits sharing a smile or a wee laugh with us all.

Dear Josephine,
Although we never had the pleasure of meeting your beloved, Sam, we feel like we knew him through your son, Gerard and our sister, Terri. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Martha & Dino Belle

i'll say a prayer here in Scotland. One gesture of help to me was enough to understand the strength and quality of a good man. Thanks.

Gerard, My condolences to you and your family.

His photo brings back so many memories of the cheery, laughing Sammy who was loved by everyone. I know you will miss him terribly, Josephine. I am praying that the Lord will surround you with His peace, now and in the days to come.
