It was with sadness that we learned from a neighbor of Sam's recent passing. Though we didn't get to know the two of you very well, we enjoy today so many of the memories you left in the house on Riviera that you and Sam graciously sold to us -including the Riviera Brewing Company sign in the basement which we've never painted over, the trolley door, and the old fireplace in the back yard. I'm so very sorry to hear about your Dad. You know that he and Bob are up there telling lies with Loie and making too much noise laughing. Bob surrounded himself with friends who knew the value of laughter, and of course, Sam was high on the list. I will never forget that he and Billy came to Bob's funeral. I am out of town and only wish that I could be at his memorial for you. We love you all, and hope that you will smile when you remember...

So many great times and the Riviera Brewery has lost the greatest brew master in history.
