So very sorry to hear of Sam's passing, with much love and support for Elizabeth, Fox and your extended family.

What a short but so rich and accomplished life. He lived well, which makes this all the sadder. We need more Sams. Not fewer. My heart goes out to Liz and Fox and all of Sam's family and friends.

Mornings were always colorful when Sam came over for his ride to school. His vocabulary and opinions never ceased to amaze me. Our hearts ache with sadness for Elizabeth and Fox.

I did not have the privilege of personally knowing this amazing young man, but I did have the honor of reading his many stories online. His work lives on. My thoughts are with his parents, family and friends.

How my heart aches to learn of Sam's death. Such a beautiful spirit, such a loving family. To Elizabeth, Fox and family -- sending you our love. Always. May his memory be a blessing.
