Samuel H. Calhoun

I am so sorry to hear about Sam. He was my first supervisor at TVA and was a great manager and a great environmentalist. He arranged Friday field trips so that our staff (mostly fresh out of college) could learn about TVA and see the projects that we were working on first hand. He was also known in Chattanooga for his Friday lunch excursions to the Brass Register and Yesterday's. He was a great mentor, a fine person and a good friend. I was sorry to learn about my old friend, Sam Calhoun. We shared many good times back in Chattanooga before I moved to DC some 35 years ago. I will miss him. My deepest condolences to Mabel. Best, Pete McCall

I worked for Sam while he was a manager at TVA and I will say he was a super supervisor and friend. Our group would go out to lunch alot and I will always remember his favorite restaurants were Princetons and Cajuns. Sam will be greatly missed. Please accept my condolences.
