Not sure what to say?

In 1955 Dr. Camarata performed surgery on my chest when I was 15. I had been advised that without this surgery, I would not make it to 20. I am now 82 and in decent health and I attribute that to Dr. Camarata. I cannot shower without seeing his handiwork and I continue to celebrate his 6 hours and over 1000 stitches for my current ability to write these few words in honoring him. I will be forever grateful for your diligence and support during that trying period in my life. I am only...

More wonderful memories from our last trip to Munich in October 1991! The "Yo Prosit" gang. Plus me, who's taking the picture!

I am that 19month old son from 1959. Thank you Dr. Sam for helping in saving my life and assisting my parents through that very difficult time in our lives. I still appreciate every day I wake up and the sky is blue and the grass is green. You are still one of the reasons I am here.
God Bless.

So very sorry for your loss. Dr Sam had a very special place in our hearts & lives.
In 1959 Drs Camarata, Salyer & Engleman performed cancer surgery on our then 19 month old son. He is now 52 years old. Dr Sam was so compassionate and understanding in the years and challenges that followed. He was a very special person and will be sadly missed.

rgMy son Sean Michael Mullin of Temecula, Ca was operated on by the team of Dr.'s
Salyer and Camarata in July 1965 at the age of 18 months. This surgery saved his life. I extend my condolences to his family and dear friends. This was my only contact with this wonderful and unforgettable man. God bless you all.

Thomas M. Mullin, Jr. of Orange, Ca

My sincere condolences for your loss. Dr. Camarata was truly a great man. My mother, Mary Davis, R.N., worked with Dr. Sam as an operating nurse on many surgeries when I was a child growing up. We have all lost a man of great caring. God bless your family. (Jean Dow of Lake Forest, CA)

Dr. Camarata was such a wonderful man to know. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

In many ways Sam was the father I never had but always wish I did! In those nearly 26 years I knew him I have some of the best memories of my life. He was a wonderful mentor who never preached but rather taught by the unique example of his extraordinary and rich life. He'll always be a very special and important part of my life and I will miss him dearly! My deepest and sincere condolences to all his family for whom I care as if they were my own!
