Not sure what to say?

I share your sadness in the passing of Sammy. I taught Sammy at Englewood and he was one of those students you never forget. He had a zest for life and was always very appreciative of anything you did for him. From time to time our paths crossed he would always greet me with his famous smile and talk about our Englewood days and current happenings. He had a deep , love for country, family, and church. One of the rewards of teaching is seeing how good your students turn out. I will miss...

I never had the pleasure of meeting Sam but I worked briefly with his daughter Mia and through her I learned much about what a wonderful person, father and child of the Lord he was. He has joined a great cloud of witnesses cheering Mia on as she continues to hold onto our Father's Love thru Jesus Christ...our soon coming King!

My deepest Sympathy. I have known Sammy since the birth of his second child; however, I attended high school with him but we never met. No matter what situation (and he had many come up) he had to deal with, no one would have known what he was going through unless he told you. He was always up beat and bubbly, and always put laughter in your heart or a smile on your face.

My deepest condolences for all the family on Sammie's passing. I was good friends with Suzanne in school. We lived only a block away from her house then. I had a warm, if not close friendship with Sammie during that time as well. It is so sad to read of schoolmates sorrow as we all grow older. I wish all the family the very best in the days ahead.

To the Carlin family:

My deepest heartfelt sympathies go out to you at this most trying and transitional time of your life. Sam may not be here now, but I hope that it is of comfort to know that his love gets to stay with you for the rest of your lives. Peace to you ...

My dear brother in Christ, Sam C. Carlin, Sr., was and will always be in my prayers. He was devoted to his God first, his family second and to himself third. Scripture was his most powerful subject. Especially John,14:1-4. He lived it perfectly. He will be missed by us all. Pax et Bonum my special friend.

We meet Sam when he made deliveries to our office. Always so happy. Made us smile. We sure miss him.

When I lost a parent an older and much wiser person than I advised me to remember the good times I had with my parents. I would like to pass that wisdom to you as it is very healing. I met Sam in art class in approx. 1961 & I still refer to him as Sammy as we were just kids when we met. His legacy will live in the hearts of everyone as he was one of a kind. The friendship that Sammy and I shared was special and I will miss him very much.
