Sam was such a wonderful guy: friendly, easy to work with, but also smart, informed, and passionate. I always saw him manning the booth at the A2 Art Fair--a tough crowd for Republicans! I will miss him.

Sam was not only a kind and amazing friend, he was also an inspiration to so many. He was a solid conservative and a dedicated volunteer to the causes that he believed in. Sam will be missed for his sense of humor, his courageous fortitude, and his wonderful smile.

I first met Sam in 1956, as I was the new kid on the block, and two guys came down the hill on their bikes, Sam and his partner in crime, John Rudolph. That was the start of a long time friendship hanging out with these guys and trips to the high school in the Collier car, a 1949 Plymouth that kept going and going.
So sorry to hear that Sam had passed. Our best wishes to Diane and the family.
