We have had the privilege of knowing Elkin for many years, and had listened to many stories, especially about his paratrooper experience during WWII. One time Elkin mentioned that he always carried extra socks in his gear "just in case someone needed them." Ever since then , our son has carried extra socks when he camps with the boy scouts, in honor of a man who lived his life thinking of others.

Elkin was a well respected member of the Couch Family from Grayson. He enjoyed the Grayson HS Alumni Reunions, but will be missed at this year's reunion on March 31, 2007. Our sympathy is with Kathleen, Rena and Family.
