Aunt Lydia, and my dear cousins,

Uncle Sam meant the world to me. When I was growing up, he always welcomed us into your home, and gave the family lots of love and laughs. Thank you for taking such good care of a great man. I am so lucky to have had him as my Uncle and a big part of my life.

I will always have a special place in my heart for Sam, my cousin. He was a dear and fun loving person. He gave us some very enjoyable moments. I looked up to him. I will miss knowing that he is with us. Our love and sympathy go to you, Lydia, and the boys.

Mark,
I'm very sorry to hear of your loss.
My condolences go out to you and your family.
Sincerely,

I REMEMBER MR. CROSS AS A VERY GOOD AND FAIR TEACHER. HE ALWAYS HAD A SMILE FOR THE STUDENTS. SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. MAY HE REST IN PEACE.

Sam Cross was my 8th grade home room teacher. He also taught me history. We all loved him. When he stood before a classroom, everyone paid attention. He took his work seriously, but he did not take himself seriously. What a guy!
