Remembering him with warmth

I am saddened to learn of Dr. Dismond's passing. He and Dr. Kimbrough were in part my inspiration and role models on caring for people and being a physician. I am grateful for the care he rendered to my family members and the community of Flint (in particular the Black community). My condolences to Mrs. Dismond and the Dismond family.

Thinking of all of your family today. My prayers and thoughts. Dr. Dismond was a wonderful example of Husband, Father, Doctor and Community Leader. He will truly be missed but my memory of him and all of you, is heartfelt.

As a child, Dr. Dismund and Dr. Kimbrough were the only black doctors in Flint. Mrs. Dismund was a nurse in the office. He and his wife were ALWAYS kind, considerate and respectful to every patient. Over the years, I would occasionally run into one or both of them. They never changed! They’re devotion to one another and their family was always apparent. Dear Family,
You are in our thoughts and prayers at this time. We remember the wonderful times we all spent together at St. Michaels and Powers and just together at each other’s homes! Dr Dismond was one of the best people we ever knew. May you find comfort in Gods love.
