My sympathies to all of Sam's family. I trust that Sam and my husband Jim Kemp are reunited at last on the other side and are at last free from the confines of their bodies.

Sam was an amazing man. During my studies at Asbury we became friends and without fail he would ask how each member of our family was doing. Even after being gone for three years, when we met this summer he wanted to know all about our family and how each member was. He was a man after God's own heart! He will be missed by all he blessed with his presence.

Sam will be missed by many. He sent special sympathy cards to each person in our family when my dad died last year. That was very touching. We knew Sam from his time at St. Luke UMC. There isn't another person like him...and never will be.

I was a friend of Sam's while I attended Asbury in the late 90's. We spent many nights talking. I still have an old tape player he let me have. He was a special person. Sam is home.

My deepest sympathy to Sam's family. I went to high school at Tates Creek with Sam . He was always such a positive spirit and wonderful person. I talked to him most recently about some travel plans he and his assistant were going to make. I will always have such very fond memories of Sam. God Bless.
