Not sure what to say?

Sam impressed me from the moment I met him, as his obvious deep love and consideration for his wife, Betty, was obvious. I so enjoyed getting to know him and Betty and hear some of his stories and life experiences. My condolences, thoughts and prayers to the family!

Freinds and family of Rev. Faircloth can hear him talking about his life and ministry on the website of the Wheaton College Billy Graham Center Archives:

. . a good Teacher. . .a principled man. . . he taught us Church history at Tyndale Theological seminary. . . He sent me the very first missionary commendation letter quoting Luke 4:18 in Portuguese. . . as Vee and I left home for the mission field Mozambique.

I'm very thankful for Grandpa and his life of faith. He set and documented an example of really knowing God. Even just his mindset and worldview is an example of being totally oriented around God and his plan reconciliation and redemption for the world. We are so blessed to have been discipled, even indirectly at times, by a man God created to further build his kingdom. I am truly honored to be his grandson.

Our prayers are for Betty and the entire family as you grieve the loss of Sam. It is only for a short time as we'll be united with Christ and with Sam in glory! Roman's 8:38-39

A GREAT teacher of the Scriptures! I was a teenager when Sr. Samuel Faircloth was Dean of the Seminary in Leiria and came to give Bible Studies to the Baptist Church of Caldas da Rainha. Sometimes, I had lunch at my parents' house and I and my sister, we played a lot with the first two daughters ... at that time, I believe there were already 4 ..... , in little houses that the girls had ..
I already forgot about a Study, I was 14, 15 years old, about the Book of FILEMOM !!! His studies...

I never met Mr. Faircloth, but I feel that I know him very well through his daughter Ruth! We spoke often about him. She told me many stories about the family and their missionary work in Portugal and more recent times with Betty and the family. I know is comforting to know that he is with his savior now. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family.

Ruth I’m so sorry for the loss of your Father. He seemed like an incredible man and awesome Dad to you. My sympathies to you and your family.
