Samuel John Goodine

Sam is not forgotten, even amidst a long, hard year. He is missed.

Words cannot express the deep sympathy we feel. We can only pray for the Lord to cover you with His love and power at this most difficult time.

How striking: the first reading in today's Eucharist was about the Lord's calling of young Samuel. I wonder how Samuel heard his name being called Wednesday. I imagine a caring paternal/maternal voice welcomed him home. Meanwhile, I grieve with all his family and friends.

Ah, Sam. I used to call him ‘Sam I Am’, because he was his very own self, all the time. I should like to tenderly draw your attention to the incredible live and support which Dave and Elizabeth gave him - unconditional love mixed with a tad of exasperation once in a while - a sign of a true family. I will miss that handsome boy and his dictionary. All my love to Jake, Rachel, and Adam. Truly, Sam, sleep in peace and light.

So sorry to learn of Sam's passing. Please accept my deepest sympathies. Sam was a singular personality who loved and was loved. May God comfort you all, Dennis
