Not sure what to say?

I have known Sam for more than 20 years since both of us frequent the same Waffle House for coffee. For most of those years, he was Sam or Mr. Sam because I didn't know his last name. Sam was a quiet respected gentlemen by both coffee drinkers and Waffle House waitresses. We all miss Sam but his special chair next to the wall will always be a reminder of him

I have known Sam for over 20 years since we both drank a lot of coffee at the Waffle House. I knew him only as Sam or Mr. Sam since I did't know his last name until a couple of years ago. He was a quiet and respected gentleman and I miss him. Coffee drinkers and waitresses who knew him are saddened at learning of his untimely death.

I met Sam during the 1950's at the Alabama Inn and enjoyed having coffee with him for many years. Until recently we were still having coffe at the Waffle House. Godspeed, Sam.

sam was a very respected man that will be missed by all of his friends and loved ones.

I have known Sam for over 40 years having met him during the old Russell Drive-In days. We have continued having coffee together off and on until recently sharing many memories at the Hoover Waffle House. His passing is a loss.

We are sorry to hear about Sam's passing. Several of his coffee shop friends and myself have missed his presence and thoughts he shared on various occasions at the Hoover Waffle House.
