Not sure what to say?

I just learned that Sam Hazell passed away and I am deeply saddened.
On behalf of my family and myself please accept our deepest sympathy.
Sam was my teacher at Washington School in Roselle and as years past he became my friend. He was a really special person and he will never be forgotten
Each Christmas both Sam and I would exchange cards and write a letter a mile long listing all the events of our year. We always kept in touch. This year will be sad, for me knowing he is no...

Mr. Hazell will be greatly missed. The staff and students in the Orange community will continue to have fond memories of his character and love of education. My heartfelt prayers to the Hazell Family at this time.

Today I learned what a truly great leader he was. May God bless the Hazell family and friends in this time of sorrow.

I will be forever grateful for the time that I spent working with Sam Hazell at Edison Intermediate School. Sam always had time for the important things and those were the students. I'm sure that he will always be remembered as a fair and conscientious administrator. He was a good friend and I spent many hours talking with him about how to achieve the best for my students and his advice was invaluable. I will miss him but I know that he is still working for the children, just in a...

I just learned that Sammy Hazell passed away and I am deeply saddened. We served together for many years at St. Peters and I gained so much from our friendship. He influenced so many people and will be remembered for his kindness, sincerity and intellect.

I was hired through Mr. Hazell in September 2004. Since then, for the two years I knew him, he had been the most compassionate principal and educator to work for. I sincerely miss him and he shall be remembered.

Sam was the very first principal I worked with in the Westfield School systems, and I could not have been more fortunate to know him. He was a great man. I am very sorry for your loss.

Sam Hazell was fun to be with. My wife and I remember going to a basketball Game at the Meadowlands and he was so much fun, laughing throughout, and nervous that the NJ NETS would lose! After two hot dogs, he wanted two more! He had a zest for life. God rest his soul.
