I am very sorry to learn of Sam's passing. The fondest memories of my younger days are with Sam serving as game wardens with the 463rd MP Co at Ft Leonard Wood...drowning Army issue jeep CJ's in the various streams and rivers of Ft Wood. We even patrolled on horseback once-fortunately we did not drown the horses- as I recall we got brushed off and we ended up walking back. We were not good horsemen.
