Dear Em and Family:
Mary Ann and Raymond Miller (my Aunt and Uncle) let me know about Sam's passing and sent me his obituary. I'm afraid I'll be repeating some of what I've already written to you in a card, but I did want to sign Sam's guest book. You people were very special to my family (Richard, Ginny, Alice and me) when we were growing up on Railroad Street. Canasta games, picnics, endless house construction projects -- we did it all together, didn't we? We grew up with your kids. One...

Dear Mrs. Landis and your entire family,
This is a voice from your very distant past; I'm Anita Waltman, Tim Kushmar's sister, and was Carolyn's best friend. I used to live in Emmaus on North 7th Street. The last time I saw Carol was when she was at your house, Mrs. Landis, and I ran to get you because Carol was going to throw up and I helped her sit up and then I ran to find you......it was the last time I saw Carol alive on this earth. I still cry just thinking about her, I...

I remember being at a shareholders meeting and a few of us girls went up to Sammy and gave him hugs. Somebody with him asked how he got all these young girls to give him hugs. To which I simply answered, "Because he's Sammy". And he was and we are all the better for having the privilege of knowing him. God Bless your entire family.
