Samuel and Florence Lanford

We are in-laws to their grandchild, Shenan Derigibus Nieuwsma. We were invited to join Farmville Thanksgivings and vacation gatherings in the Outer Banks with the family....carrying on their tradition of open invitations. "Nana and Papa Sam" were always present, supportive, encouraging, and focused in engaging in conversation. Flo enthusiastically joined in family games and Sam had many a story to tell. What a lovely couple!! Sweet memories to hold on to.

Could not have been a sweeter or kinder brother. He always took me with him along with his friends.
