Samuel Levine Obituary

LEVINE, Samuel, died unexpectedly on January 14, 2021, in Richmond, Virginia, at the age of 80. Sam is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sheila; his son, Bruce and his daughter-in-law, Laurie, of Reston; his grandson, Jeremy; and granddaughter, Sari, of Reston; his daughter, Felicia and his son-in-law, Derek, of Richmond; and his grandson, Parker of Richmond. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Ben Levine; his brother, Allen; and his grandson, Adam. Sam was born on February 18, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York, to Mary and Ben Levine. He married Sheila Cohen on January 27, 1963. Sam began working for Xerox in New York City in 1963, which led the family to their home in Richmond in 1979. He worked for Xerox until he retired in 1999. While Sam enjoyed many things, he most of all loved being with his family. Whether it was a small gathering with his immediate family, or a larger gathering with his extended family, nothing gave him more joy than time spent with those he loved. Due to COVID-19, the funeral is for immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Adam Levine Camp Scholarship Fund, Northern Virginia Hebrew Congregation, 1441 Wiehle Avenue, Reston, Virginia 20190, in memory of his grandson, Adam.
