Not sure what to say?

Jan & I were deeply saddened with the passing of a dear friend. Sam Lewis, in every sense of the word, was truly a gentle man, a man of the highest moral courage, and a man of unquestioned integtrity. You can always tell the character of a person by the manner in which he communicates his heartfelt beliefs in your presence, and his ability to look you squarely in the eye during the course of a conversation.

Unfortunately, my association with Sam was only for a few short years. ...

Dear Lloyd, When reading the Journal obituaries yesterday, I was saddened to note Sam's name. Memories came to mind of the good times we enjoyed together and, also, your days at WE with Dick, Lloyd. My sincere sympathy and God's Blessings to you and your family.

I knew Sam through the Kiwanis Club of Milwaukee many years ago. He was a true, calm gentleman. I enjoyed discussing art and Door County with him. He framed the prints on my wall...I am very sorry for your loss.

Mark, John, and Mary, I saw the notice just today, and discovered about 6 hours too late to attend the memorial service today. I am so very sorry for your loss, your dad was a great, calm, loving man and I have many fond memories of him. I am so glad that I had the chance to run into him a few months ago - It was good to have a chance to give him a big hug, which I will cherish. I have so very many fond memories of your whole family, and how good to me you all were back in high school. I...

Mary and family - you are in my thoughts and prayers - I'm sure your dad was very proud of the amazing woman you are and your beautiful girls - God bless you and your family during this difficult time.

My most sincere sympathy to all the family. I knew Sam while he was at Roudy's and my daughtr Lois was employed by him at Nautilus Gallery while she was in college. We will remember Sam as the kind. patient gentleman he always was.

Dear Lewis Family,

Sam was one of the sweetest, kindest gentlemen I ever knew. I can only imagine how much you must miss him already! My prayers are with you all.

Blessings...
