Barbara & Family
The Norman family extends its heartfelt sympathy to you and family during your period of sorrow. Many of us know that Sam was a "Man of Men"; he meant so much to so many in so many ways, in his profession and in the community. As a classmate and Class Agent for the 1963 Morehouse Reunion Class(4 or 5 reunions), I could always count on Sam (with support from his very good friend - Ray Lundy) to make a significant contribution to ensure that we did not come up short....

To the Lightfoot Family,
Dr. Lightfoot was my Dr for 14 years. He was always caring and gentle and very soft spoken. I am very glad that I got to know him before he left. I am sure that God is taking care of him like he cared for everyone that he touched while he was here. I will truely miss him. May God be with you each and everyday.

Kimberly: I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your father. Though I've known you for many years, I never realized that you were the daughter of one of my old physicians, Dr. Lightfoot. Ironically, my daughter, who teaches with your mother, told me that he was your father. Both my daughter and I were former patients of your dad. We both knew him to be a strong, but gentle, man. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. Your father...

To the Lightfoot Family,
Remain strong and thankful for God allowed Dr. Lightfoot a long time to do what he needed done. I thank God for that. Dr. Lightfoot delivered both of my boys who are now 17 and 21 years old. I honestly still can not believe he is gone. I pray that all of you take up where he left off in heart, mind and spirit. Keep the Lord first in ALL that you do to be sure it's the WILL OF GOD!! Dr. Lightfoot you are truly missed but not forgotten.

First of all, I would like to send my condolences to the Lightfoot family. I know your heart is still heavy as my heart is heavy now just learning what happened. I became pregnant nine years ago and through a close friend, I was reffered to Dr. Lightfoot. My first impression was "woo, his hands is too big" but as I grew to know him and to learn that he was a caring individual..the hands didn't matter anymore. He was a very mild mannered guy and he didn't talk much. Me loving to talk...it...

I am deeply hurt and sadden to know that my doctor and long time family friend has gone on. He delivered my son, JaKeir D. Moody, that is 6 years old, my niece, KeShannah B. Perriman, that is 7 and my nephew, Jalen T. Joseph that is 3 years old. He has delivered over half the kids in my family.

Most of all he was my doctor and friend. I don't know how I will go on knowing that Dr. Lightfoot won't be overseeing my health anymore. I guess I'm selfish that way, huh? I know he's...

I been knowing Dr.Lightfoot for 12 years and Iam 12 now. I know he is in a good place now. And he will never beforgotin and my heart goes out to the Lightfoot family. Just to know who I am my mom worked for Dr. Lightfoot.

I met Dr. Ligthfoot when I was 2 months. My mother worked for him for 18 years and I hope someday to become a greater person as he was. He inspired me to become apart of the medical profession. My condolence goes out to the family and friends of Dr. Lightfoot, cause he will never be forgoten.

To the Family and Staff of the Dear and Kind Dr. Lightfoot. I would like to say that He will be greatly missed. Dr. Lightfoot delivered both of my daughters with the greatest of ease. He was the master at keeping his cool under very hot situations. Dr. Lightfoot also had the gift of knowing exactly when a baby was going to be coming, down to the minute. He is the best because his Spirtit will never be gone from this earth. It was 13 years ago that I met the Doctor and I would always refer him...
