Samuel Kijoo Lim died peacefully on May 10, 2019 in Diamond Bar, California.
He was born on September 8, 1934 in Chang Pyoung, South Korea to parents Hee Do Lim and Young Soon Park. His late siblings were Bongjoo, Byungjoo, Wonjoo, Sungjoo. His surviving siblings are sister Insoon and brother Kwanwoo. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Korea University in Seoul Korea in 1958. He immigrated to the United States in 1977 as a 42 year old. He was a successful businessman running a dry cleaning and laundromat business called Fabric Care Center in Cleveland, Ohio before retiring in 1995.

Samuel was a longtime member of Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church of Chino Hills, CA and served as an associate elder.

He is survived by his wife Ruth Jungok; son David and his wife Susanne, and grandchildren Stephanie, Alex, and Rachel of Texas; daughter Esther and her husband Sangyoung, and grandchildren Samantha and Jessica, of Indiana; son Paul and his wife Joanne, and grandchildren Monica, Tiffany, and Natalie, of Texas; and daughter Hannah and her husband Michael and grandchildren Caili and Justin, of Utah.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the church family of Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church of Chino Hills, CA.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on May 17, 2019 for a wake at 1 PM and a memorial service at 2 PM at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church of Chino Hills. 2600 Grand Avenue, Chino Hills, CA 91709

Private funeral service will take place at Rose Hills Memorial Park 3888 Workman Mill Road, Whittier, California 90601at 9 AM on May 18, 2019.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to be sent to Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church of Chino Hills, California 91709 as a Thank offering in honor of Mr. Samuel K. Lim.
