Not sure what to say?

My little brother, we were different but alike in so many ways. I found you today because I found myself thinking about you today. . . again! Our families were so close. Your Dad and my Uncle knew each other from grade school in L.A. (Lower Alabama :-)). You and I double dated to your Teaneck, HS prom. We formed a singing group together, KN OWING we were going to be the next best thing. . . Well, at least we, our parents and friends thought so, LOL! I miss you and still talk with Vernon about...

Dear Sam, Another year in this world without you, my friend. Your sense of humor, musical talent, and the damn good human being you were, are so very missed. You made me laugh, you made it easy for me to dance like I just didn't care, and I looked forward to every time I got to hear you sing and play your music! This world lost a great person when you left it. But thank you for all you did while you were here. Love, Suze

"The presence of his absence is everywhere."

As a jazz musician, I learned about gospel from Sam, and thought of him decades later as I led my children's choir in "Angels...

Hey My dear Friend Sam --- We had a blast - we played kill music together. We laughed til the sun came up. I miss you man - we will jam again - keep a spot for brotha,

Sammy's open-hearted friendliness and unguarded smiles were unforgettable. What a joy it was to get to know him, when we were classmates at Wesleyan. Heartfelt condolences to his loved ones.

I remember Sam from our days at Wesleyan as a wonderful old soul with a very welcoming, relaxed manner. We were lucky he graced our path. My condolences to his family.
