Not sure what to say?

Memories of you will always remain in our minds and in our hearts.

Will miss you Sam. Remebering you on this Memorial Day Weekend. Our mutal love of Mustang Fastbacks is how we became friends and through me and friends of mine how Sam got his car restored. I will always remember the first time I met him and his family was a day I wont ever forget. Sam will always be a friend and fellow service member who served this country proudly and with distinction. I am proud to have had him as a friend.

Major Griffith is remembered this Memorial Day by his fellow alumni from The Pennsylvania State University Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity, many of whom are veterans or still serving. Semper Fi, brother Sam.

You are still missed greatly and loved by many.

Sam was attached to us in Afghanistan , i was with him when he made the ultimate sacrifice , rest easy bro.

I met Sam through my roommate at Penn State in our sophomore year. Sam was a great friend but we lost touch after I left a year later. I only found out today of his death while looking to reach out to some old friends.

He was a funny guy, always smiling, and talking about the fast Mustangs and flying jets. He would make the tallest ice cream cones at the East Dining Hall at PSU and deliver them to people he didn't know.

God bless you brother for your service protecting our...

Miss you Brother & won't forget your beautiful spirit. May God give you and yours peace.

Casey, I spent the day remembering Sam and the great group of ROTC friends we had at Penn State. Even today, losing Sam still stings the heart. He was a great friend, and a great Marine. No one could make you laugh, command respect, and inspire you, all at the same time like Sam did. I hope this message finds you and the kids well. We are wishing you warm thoughts and comfort this Christmas.

Semper Fidelis.

To the family of Maj. Samuel M. Griffith:
Samuel gave the ultimate sacrifice and will be held in the hearts of Americans forever. I cannot and will not let our fallen heroes be forgotten. My deepest sympathy to you. "Some gave all."
