Not sure what to say?

Since my own father wasn't around much, I adopted Sam more than 50 years ago (when I was in the 7th grade at Livingston Elementary school). One of the things I loved him for was his quite way of chewing a person out that made one wish he better don't screw up again. We drifted apart after college years but I've never forgotten the lessons he taught me.

Our prayers and thoughts are with you in this time of sorrow. We appreciate having had the opportunity to know both Sam and Yuri when they sold at the Merced Farmers' Market with us. May fond memories comfort you in this time of grief.

I first met Sam about 45 years ago when he brought his fruit to the Livingston packing shed. I drove fork lift as a summer job. Sam and I would talk quite often and he would buy me a soda now and again.

I retired from the city of livingson after 30 years and during my time working I had the previlage to have lunch and coffee with Sam at the now Livingston cafe ( FF resturante)

I will surely miss Sam and the coversations we had, I considered him a special friend.
