Read MoreI was a student of his in 1987 in logic circuits. I was so amazed by his teaching abilities that I later took any course he would teach and I nominated him for an award for best professor. He was also very kind and showed me a lot of humanity when I lost a close friend. I will never forget him.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Sam Maley. He was an excellent professor and a close friend of my family. My late Dad, Professor Carl Johnk, collaborated with Sam on a number of projects in the E.E. Department at the University of Colorado (CU) during the late 1950's and early 60's. They were very close friends and I remember joining them for their regular lunch meetings at the University Memorial Center when I was in grade school. Many years later Sam was on my Ph.D....
