Not sure what to say?

We still think of our dear friend, Sam every day. We miss him . The Meadowlands, and life, has not been the same without him. The first thing we do when we walk into the Meadowlands is go to the Broadcast booth, touch Sam's picture with a kiss, and say a prayer. Now we look up, as they have mounted the picture on the wall, and do the same. Sam was one of the BEST people we knew. Heaven robbed us of a good one. Please continue to watch over your beautiful family and bring your baby Girl good...

I only just heard of Sam's passing a few weeks ago, I haven't been to the Meadowlands since the renovation, my friend Mike Pulli who owned horses in the past told me, I only see him from time to time. I was truly saddened by the news. My heart goes out to his family and friends, such a great loss. He was such a perfect race caller, you could close your eyes and still see the race, he had a gift with such passion evedently enjoying every minute of the call, and although I didn't know him...

Chris, Sam will be missed by All, praying for you and the girls.

So very sorry to the family. No one can know unless they've been there.
My wife and I met Sam several years ago. We would only see him maybe a couple times a year when we attended a big race. He always seemed to know us and was interested In what we had to say. He would remember that we had a horse racing. A real special and classy guy.
He was the next voice of the Brown Jug.

Very sorry for your loss what a great announcer! The heavens have 2 great announcers up there. Who knows maybe "things will get a little western as there spinning out of the turn"

So very sorry for your loss. We were all extremely proud of Sam and all that he accomplished at such a young age. He was such a very special, one of a kind person. His father and ours were in the Mounted Posse and Wranglers Club together. We have many fond memories to cherish from our childhood. Sending you our thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time. Sincerely The John Murphy Family (Mt Pleasant MI)

Chris, Meagen, Melissa, Lindsey and families, Our deepest sympathies, may God guide you. McKee, No one Better, a gentle soul you are. Truly a source of inspiration for us and so many. You will be missed. R.I.P. Sam

A message of sympathy for your family. May these few words of sympathy help at least in part, to ease the burden that you bear and the sadness in your heart. Thinking of you at this sad time.
