My dad was a loving man, always willing to do things with his family regardless of how busy he was with church or work. he knew how to discipline with force but love. In fact, he always said, as he was about to spank us if we misbehaved, "This is going to hurt me more than it will you." My thoughts are with you. I remember your dad as a kind and loving bishop who always had a great big smile. I respected him greatly.

My sincere condolences to all the family. Sam was much admired by all. I enjoyed his friendship during the time we were in the Orange 2nd Ward together - he was a great example of Priesthood Leadership to me.
