Please accept my deepest sympathy on the death of Sam. I knew him well during his term of service as president of the Chicago Assn. of Commerce and Industry, where I was privileged to serve as chairman of the Aviation Committee and later as a member of the Board of Directors.

I am sorry I was unable to attend Sam's wake last night, but I wanted to take the opportunity to say how much my husband & I enjoyed getting to know you & Sam through my brother Michael. It was always a pleasure to be able to visit with you both at Mike's functions. I know how much he will miss Sam, as will I. You have all my sympathy on your loss.

My condolences to the family of Mr. Mitchell who I met in Concord, CA during a drum corps concert in the 90s. On that bright summer day, Mr. Mitchell was upfront yet cordial, accomodating my questions regarding the future of DCI. He will be remembered as a personable DCI director with a quick smile and humor.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Mitchell. I got to know him during his tenure as Executive Director at Drum Corps International. He came on board during a difficult period, and did his best to pave the way to a better future for all associated with the organization.
