Swartz Funeral Home - Flint Obituary

MUMA, Samuel, Jr. – Of Flint, age 67, died Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at McLaren-Flint.


Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Randy Schultz officiating.


Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.


Those desiring may make contributions to a charity of one's choice.


Visitation 1-8 p.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.


Samuel was born in Flint, Michigan on January 8, 1952, the son of the late Samuel and Nona (Good) Muma.


He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.


On October 28, 1972 he married Bonnie Rosebohm.


He was a member of VFW Post #3087. He loved spending time up north at his cottage and camping in the Pigeon River Forest looking for elk.


Mr. Muma worked as a truck driver for over 30 years for ABF Freight.


Surviving are wife, Bonnie; 2 sons, Kevin (Jennifer) and Jeff;


2 grandchildren, Eyan (Tiffany) and Kierstyn;


brother, Floyd (Pam);


many nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his sister, Maxine Rosebohm.

So sorry to hear about Sam's passing. He was an Amazing man!!
Anyone that knew Sam will have memories that will last a lifetime. I was fortunate to have spent a lot of time with Sam years ago, as a friend and employee. I feel privileged to have had him as a mentor, and still use skills he taught me almost everyday.
