Sam, as were all central office personnel, was assigned to ride with me to see what "field" personal did. I stopped a violator who went ballistics. He threatened to write the governor to report my conduct. Sam said don´t worry, I´m the one to write the official response.

Sam was a great guy to work with. I loved his sense of humor. He could be very serious one minute and then bounce back quickly with his witty humor.

I only met Sam once. His airplane had to land for emergency repair. I took him and DD to a restaurant while the repair was made. I was pleased to see he was a Trooper's kind of Director. Very good man!
