Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to hear that Sam passed away. I remember how nice he was when I was a child growing up on 138 Westview. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Your message has come to me, and I am very pleased and touched to learn that your grandfather's participation in the Everson Museum project in the early 1960's is still remembered.

I remember meeting Mr. Sam Oppedisano in Colorado to talk about the circular stair, and I am very pleased to hear that it was important to him. That staircase is a piece of great craftsmanship.

Sincerely,
I. M. Pei
