Sam loved his job of getting the guys who tried to avoid paying taxes!

Sam Peden always gave of himself, he was larger than life. I first met Sam 46 years ago in Seattle and subsequently we both ended up in Portland. We worked in the same Revenue officer group for many years, he was a mentor, advisor, shared his wealth of experience, and he assisted me in the field when 2 RO's were required. Sam was one of a kind. He loved his job with IRS and even more in his private business. He was always there to help if you needed it. He will be missed. I wish I could have been in town to attend his memorial service.

If you are not aware of his professional work in his later...

We both served in many similar positions as our management careers grew in the Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle Districts. As my manager, I couldn't have ask for a better leader and role model. Sam...

Remembering you when we were young.

Stars of Life Standing Spray

Sam Peden was first our neighbor, then our friend. His kindness was unmatched and he cared for others deeply and sincerely. He celebrated the successes and shared the burdens of those who knew him. His genuine smile and the twinkle in his eye will long be remembered. Thank you for your friendship, Sam.
