Not sure what to say?

Joanne, Jerry and I were so sorry to read of Sammy's death just today (2-15-2021) as I was looking for Claire on the Internet. While we didn't have a close relationship, I was very close to his parents and enjoyed our visit with you in Greenwood S.C. for Aunt Avice's 90th Birthday many years ago. We missed Lucy Mell's 100th due to a conflict but have a lovely photo of all the family who attended. While our sympathy is long overdo it is sincere.

Remembering a dear friend of more than forty years is a pleasant beginning for today. Sammy was a true servant and genuine friend. He and his family reached into the lives and needs of many people. I thank our Lord for each act of kindness and generosity. My prayers continue to lift the family.

Dear Joanne,
Don and extend our deepest sympathy to you and all the family.
Letty Ann and Don Schiesz

We express our sorrow to the family of Mr. Samuel B. Platt. We pray our Lord's love, comfort, and strength for each of you. We treasure his genuine friendship and faithful service. All of you are held in special friendship.

Joanne and Family,
Our hearts go out to you in the passing of Mr. Sammy. What fond memories we have of him in Parkinson's class, always with a smile on his face even when he didn't feel good.
How sweet to know that even as you sorrow, you have a hope that is steadfast and sure in that Mr. Sammy knew and loved the Lord. What an Easter he is celebrating this year.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Tommy and Mildred Wiggins

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. So sorry for your great loss.

Joanne, Britt, Kathy, Wesley, and Nancy Claire.

I am so sorry for your loss. We all loved and looked up to our cousin, Sammy. I will always remember enjoying his cooking on the grill during family reunions. My husband loved getting to know him and work with him on the reunion in Louisiana years ago. He was the best and was a great example to the rest of us in the family. You are all in my prayers.

Joanne and family.
Just heard about Sammy's death. He was such a dear friend to me, as well as are many of you. I cherish the times I spent with him hunting, as well as in disaster relief ministry and his traveling all the way around the world with me in mission work. What wonderful memories you have of a wonderful man.

Joanne & family, so sorry for your loss ... Sammy was a great friend & gentleman.. He'll be missed by all who knew him... God Bless you all & my Prayers are with you..
