Samuel Jay Reckner, 47 years old, died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 in his home. Sam is survived by his sons, Devon, Damon and Jordan Reckner of Minerva. He is also survived by his parents, William and Carole Reckner of Minerva; his sisters Marilyn (Matt) Humphrey of Hilliard, Ohio; Carolyn (Don) French of North Canton, Ohio; and his brother, Bill (Tammy) Reckner of Harrisburg, Ohio. He is also survived by his niece and nephews as well as his favorite nephew, Mike (Liz) Myers of Green, Ohio. He is survived by the sunshine of his life, his granddaughter, MJ. A celebration of Sam’s life will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Minerva First Christian Church, 801 W. Lincoln Way, Minerva, Ohio, Pastor Dale Roberts officiating.
